Pastor Ted Bragg was appointed to serve as Calvary Baptist Church's Senior Pastor June 1, 2014. Prior to that, he served as an elder at Calvary Baptist Church. He and his wife, Donna, have been members and faithful servants at CBC for 25 years.

Pastor Ted’s ministry is marked by a steadfast commitment to powerful preaching, intentional leadership development, and compassionate biblical counseling. He considers it a profound privilege to pastor Calvary Baptist Church—a vibrant community that embraces timeless scriptural truth, actively cares for the needs of those around them, and warmly seeks to connect others to the body of Christ.

Viewing worship and the ministry of the Word as sacred trusts, Pastor Ted approaches his calling with deep reverence and rigor. He begins the earliest hours of each day rooted in quiet, rigorous Bible study, ensuring that every sermon, counsel, and initiative flows directly from a heart saturated in Scripture and aligned with God's truth.

Pastor Ted has been happily married to his wife, Donna, for 45 years. They have four adult children and twelve grandchildren. 

Martin (Marty) serves the church as the Associate Pastor, leads the Wednesday evening group prayer and teaching services at the church. In addition, Marty serves as the Website Administrator.

He and his devoted wife, Lynette, have been active in ministry for many years and in 2025 answered a call to serve with us here.

Marty is currently working toward his Doctorate in Practical Ministry at Liberty University, specializing in Instructional Design. He has a heart for equipping the church through biblically grounded leadership curricula and practical training resources. Marty also offers support to local churches and ministries looking to expand their reach through effective educational materials and modern technology solutions.

Larry Mathews is an elder at Calvary Baptist Church, and has been faithfully serving with his wife, Julie, for many years. 

His heart for God's people is evident in his commitment to shepherding the flock with humility and grace. Larry is deeply devoted to prayer, sound teaching, and encouraging others to grow in their walk with Christ. He leads by example, demonstrating integrity and compassion in every aspect of his service. Whether offering counsel, supporting church ministries, or caring for those in need, Larry's steadfast dedication reflects his love for the Lord and His church brothers and sisters. We don't think there is a verse in the Bible that Larry hasn't memorized and can expound on in detail!

Frank Tolman coordinates the men's ministry for the church and provides the Sunday School instruction on Sunday mornings.  A devoted student of the Word with a passion for biblical truth, Frank serves the local church through sound teaching and ministry support. He is committed to equipping believers and assisting them in building biblically grounded resources that strengthen the body and expand outreach to the surrounding community.

Frank and his wife, Jo-Helen, have been active in ministry in the Central Maine area for many years. 

Christian Bragg serves our church family as resident Deacon-in-Training, a role through which he faithfully oversees and leads our Sunday Evening Services. His ministry is defined by a deep devotion to the Lord and an earnest passion for servant leadership—approaching every responsibility with increasing spiritual maturity, humility, and purpose.

As he answers the call to ministry, Christian demonstrates a diligent and thoughtful approach to studying Scripture, guiding corporate worship, and offering genuine care. Whether facilitating evening worship, encouraging believers, or serving practical needs behind the scenes, he reflects a steadfast commitment to the spiritual health and growth of the congregation. His life and service stand as a clear example of a young man dedicated to honoring God and caring for His people.

James and Jen Bragg are responsible for guiding the worship music ministry of the church.  Both grew up in Calvary Baptist Church and have served here for many years. 

James and Jen bring a deeply rooted commitment to cultivating an authentic environment of praise. Having both grown up within the Calvary Baptist Church community, their decades of shared history give them a profound connection to the congregation and a personal investment in its spiritual growth.

Their ministry is defined by a passionate heart for worshipping God according to Biblical principles. Driven by a deep personal affinity for worship, James and Jen view music not merely as a prelude to the service, but as a vital, transformative tool for discipling the church body, encouraging active participation, and centering the congregation's hearts on the truth of Scripture.

Dekk and Nancy Monteyro lead our culinary team with dedication, ensuring our congregation stays refreshed each service and well-fed during special events. Their quiet ministry of hospitality speaks volumes through every meal and cup of coffee served.
